Veterans with Disabilities Program

The Veterans Housing Assistance (VHAP) and Home Improvement (VHIP) Programs offer an interest rate reduction of .50% to qualifying veterans with disabilities.

To qualify for the Veterans with Disabilities Program Discount, eligible veterans must have a compensable disability rated at 30% or higher, as evidenced on the VA Award Letter. The VA Award letter must be dated less than 12 months from the date the Note is executed. As an alternative to the VA Award Letter, veterans may contact the Veterans Benefit Administration at 1-800-827-1000 (www.vba.va.gov) to request documentation verifying the percentage of disability. Lenders may also request documentation if written authorization from the veteran is obtained.

The veteran must also meet all other eligibility requirements for the VHAP and VHIP.
