Interest Rates and Veterans Discounts

All Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB) interest rates and available discounts are subject to change at any time.

Housing Assistance Program 4.90% Base Rate*
Housing loans up to $325,00 are available with 15, 20, 25 or 30-year terms.
If more than one rate lock is obtained in a twelve month period, the highest locked rate will prevail.

Home Improvement Programs 4.90% Base Rate*
Home Improvement loans are available with two to 20-year terms.

Qualified Veterans with Disabilities Program Discount: -.50%
* VLB Base Rate is subject to adjustment on the first business day of each week.
The Veterans with Disabilities Discount applies to veterans with a compensable disability rated at thirty percent or greater by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. A complete description of the program's qualification guidelines is available on the Veterans with Disabilities web page.

All new construction loans must meet the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Energy Star® rating as an energy efficient home to be eligble for purchase. Please click here for information and affidavit.

Land Program: All eligible Texas veterans: Up to $80,000 Land Loans, minimum 1 acre: 7.25% interest rate
